Bodycam Locked and Loaded Trailer: What It Shows
The Locked and Loaded launch trailer landed on 2026-09-02. Here is what it shows, plus how players and reviewers actually reacted.

GameTrailers published the two-minute-ten-second “Bodycam - Official ‘Locked and Loaded’ Launch Trailer” on September 2, 2026, the same day v0.8 went live. It is the distributed version of Reissad Studio’s official trailer. There is no narration. So instead of transcribing a script we use the official announcement and patch notes to explain what it shows, then collect how players and reviewers reacted.
What the trailer puts on screen
According to GameTrailers’ official description, the trailer shows the Locked and Loaded update. It includes new animations, the structured loadout system, a new interface, and gadgets such as FPV drones and explosive RC cars. It also confirms Bodycam is still in Early Access and links to the Steam page.
Set that against the same-day Steam announcement and it is clearly a systems rebuild rather than a content drop. Loadouts and attachments, animation, audio, progression, interface, maps, and multiplayer flow all changed in one version. The trailer shows you the result; the announcement tells you which systems moved.
A dated timeline
- 2026-08-21 to 08-28 — four developer diaries. The studio previewed sound design, the Trenches map, and player-driven improvements. You could already tell which systems were being rebuilt, and older guide conclusions should have been flagged as stale. Source: official Steam news list.
- 2026-08-29 — private playtest opens. Players get early access before launch and the first impressions leak out; the studio did not detail slots or eligibility. Source: official Steam news.
- 2026-09-02 — v0.8 goes live and the trailer lands the same day. The announcement states 17:00 UTC. The trailer shows new animation, the loadout system, the UI, FPV drones, and explosive RC cars. Any pre-update loadout or progression advice stopped applying from that day, so it was time to recheck your setup. Source: official Steam announcement and the trailer description.
- 2026-09-04 to 09-18 — five patch notes (V0.8 #1–#5). Progression multipliers went up, attachment prices came down 25–30%, private-lobby earnings returned at 50% of the standard rate, keybinding and matchmaking bugs were fixed, and the SCAR model was rescaled (it had been about 24% too small). V0.8 #5 shipped the first anti-AFK system and also shared where party play stands: the studio is rebuilding it on a new connectivity layer, which touches anti-cheat too, and no timeline has been given. Launch-day economy and balance conclusions expired fast, so the newest patch notes win. Source: official Steam patch notes.
- 2026-09-08 — the studio addresses the crash exploit. It confirms that a session host could spawn large numbers of entities to crash other players’ games, that the bug is fixed and the accounts involved banned, that there is no evidence of personal data access, and that communication should have started sooner. Source: official Steam patch notes #3.
What players say under the trailer
We captured 18 comments on the trailer. Few in number, but they cover the typical reaction types:
- Praise first. “the game is just awesome”, “you are legends”, “Recoil madness”. Most accept the visuals and the recoil handling.
- Console requests. Someone simply writes “PS5 please”. Officially, Bodycam is still Windows PC and Steam Early Access, with no announced PlayStation version; the release and platforms page tracks this.
- Bot and PvE requests. One comment asks for a bot mode and a reply claims offline bots already pay 50% and that a PvE zombies mode returns in October. The 50% private-lobby rate is backed by official patch notes #3; the October zombies claim does not appear in any official text we found, so it stays a player claim.
- The view argument. A highly liked comment says “My eyes aren’t GoPros, the game is terrible with this view”, and the reply is that the game is chasing photorealism, not Call of Duty. This argument appears under almost every Bodycam video.
- Shake and blur complaints. Others find the shake too aggressive and the round frame and blurred faces annoying. Those are taste preferences, not defect findings.
On Reddit, the official dev diary drew discussion threads on r/gaming and r/Games. Each got roughly 300 upvotes and 120-plus comments, far more attention than this game usually gets. The interest is real. But it is a signal of attention, not proof of quality.
How reviewers scored it
- Gaming Age gave the September 11, 2026 PC version 8/10 (technical 10/10, content 6/10), saying the new content makes even the old guns feel new and calling the stress reload the most interesting system.
- samlover.com on September 3, 2026 called it the biggest update since Early Access launch and stressed that it is a free update, not a paid expansion.
- Steam review data (September 15, 2026 snapshot): 62,982 reviews, 50,365 positive and 12,617 negative, about 79.97%, rated “Mostly Positive”.
What to do after watching
The trailer exists to make you decide whether to come back, not to teach you the systems. These four steps match what actually changed:
- Open the tactical tablet and check your old loadout. Loadouts and attachments were rebuilt in v0.8, so pre-update setups may no longer make sense.
- Run three full matches with one gun before judging it. Animation and stress mechanics changed reload timing and muzzle control, and one match is not enough data.
- Reread the patch notes. Progression multipliers and attachment prices were adjusted within the first week, so trailer-only or launch-day advice is already outdated.
- Recheck visuals, audio, and input settings. Lighting, sound, and animation all changed, so old settings may no longer fit. For the systems themselves. see Weapons and Loadouts and the Locked & Loaded update page.
Still unknown
The trailer gives no roadmap, and there are no official dates for zombies or returning maps, so we do not predict any. There is no narration, so there is no script to extract. Every mechanics statement comes from official announcements or patch notes. The view count (12,428), likes (137), and comments (20) are a September 15, 2026 snapshot.
