Bodycam Beginner Guide
A practical first-session route through Bodycam’s camera view, game systems, shooting range, and first match.

Bodycam is a tactical multiplayer FPS built around a real body-camera perspective. The game removes much of the usual HUD and makes movement, sound, weapon handling, and positioning part of the challenge. Start by learning the systems, then take a slow first match; copying a veteran push before you understand the camera usually ends badly.
What the game is about
A Bodycam match is a loop of listening for clues, using cover to create a safe angle, taking a short fight, and moving before the enemy can read your position. The camera can shake and distort, and the weapon is physically connected to the operator. You are not just aiming a reticle; you are managing exposure and information.
The current game includes multiplayer modes, cooperative Zombies, loadouts and attachments, a tactical tablet, FPV drones, and remote-controlled cars. Locked & Loaded moved many of these systems into the shooting-range hub and tablet instead of a conventional menu.
The systems to learn first
| System | What it changes | First habit |
|---|---|---|
| Body-camera view | Motion, lens distortion, exposure, and physical weapon movement | Stop briefly before firing |
| Audio | Footsteps and gunshots change through walls and rooms | Identify direction before turning |
| Modes | Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Body Bomb, Hardpoint, Wingman, and Zombies | Learn the objective before chasing kills |
| Loadouts | Primary, secondary, attachments, throwables, and gadgets | Finish one usable primary build first |
| Tactical tools | Tablet, FPV drones, and RC cars | Use them behind hard cover |
Your first 15 minutes
- Stay in the shooting range. Walk, crouch, peek, aim, and reload until the camera and weapon movement stop feeling surprising.
- Pick one primary weapon and test short bursts at close and medium distance. Ignore tier lists for now.
- Start with Deathmatch or Team Deathmatch. Your only goal is to listen, fire a short burst, and leave the angle.
- Reload and open the tablet only after moving behind a wall. The match does not pause while the tablet is open.
Four rules for the first match
- Listen before you swing a doorway.
- Fire a short burst, then change position.
- Reload in cover, never in the middle of a hallway.
- Use the flashlight briefly; it helps you see but also advertises your position.
Once you can repeat “listen, cover, burst, move” for three matches, continue with the game modes guide and weapons and loadouts.
